Personality Melusine is a feisty child full of sass and attitude problems that nobody is immune to. She used to be a sweet little girl, but that all changed when she was dropped off at the orphanage with her sisters. None of the girls are quick to trust anyone anymore, as one might expect. The only people they seem to trust is each other.

As contradictory as it may seem, they can also be very shy in a group of large people, while still retaining their bad attitude when spoken to. She knows when to suck up to people and tell them what they want to hear to get what she wants, though. Whether it be food, clothes or toys. Sweet when she wants something.

Biography Once, Melusine, Melior, and Palatyne lived with their mother and father in a grand palace near Carnford, Avalon, Elynas, her father, owning quite a few acres of farmland, a wealthy plantation owner with strong ties to the royal family, one of the ‘higher-ups’ of society. She, like her mother, and many other girls in Avalon society, was arranged to be married off to another family’s son at a very young age, Raymondin, who came over for regular playdates for ‘bonding’ just like her parents had once done.

Pressyne, however, even with the ‘bonding’ she and Elynas had gone through all their life, never loved him the way her own father had wanted her to, Elynas being full of issues, much of it being his more old-fashioned, conservative views that hurt any relationship they could’ve had. Elynas seeing their daughters as nothing more than tools to expand his wealth was one of her many heartbreaks.

Elynas had hopes for a male heir to the Chalice bloodline and the fortunes associated with it, but was disappointed all three times they tried, one right after the other, Melusine being the eldest of his ‘failures’, he expressed the opinion openly, another item on the camerupt’s back.

But what finally broke that back, was when Pressyne’s suspicions of Elynas having a mistress were confirmed. Melusine and her sisters had come back early from an outing, only to discover their father being affectionate with another wealthy woman. Elynas, much like a previous king, refused to believe his genes might be the issue, and went out seeking another mistress, in hopes that she might produce a son.

Pressyne had some family in Kalos, but feared they might treat them no better than Elynas had. Wanting to start from scratch, she fled to Toro, where she had no connections. Without much money of her own, and three little girls to feed, fleeing to a completely new region she’d never been to before wasn’t the best idea.

Pressyne soon discovered just how difficult it would be to manage that, and dropped her girls off at the orphanage, in hopes that someone more capable than herself would take them in. Pressyne had made this decision while she was still sober, as she’d developed a drinking problem to try and wash away all the painful memories, and to cope with the stress.
